The Ciconiidae – Storks+ are a Family of very large wading-birds and are the only family in the Order Ciconiiformes. To complement their size, they have long legs. long necks. long bills, and long wings which contributes to their preferred method of soaring flight, for the largely migratory species. At the moment the Openbills and Storks are the sub-families in the Family Ciconiidae, and they are of Type – wadingbird.
