The Glaucous gull – Larus hyperboreus is a large Arctic gull of Type – seabird, Family Laridae and Order Charadriiformes. It is a Holarctic summer breeder and migrates S to Arctic, sub-Arctic and Temperate inshore coastal waters in the winter. The closest European winter range to the AWB Region is the Atlantic coast of SW France. However it has been recorded as Accidental to Morocco.
