Rock bunting – Emberiza cia – is a small resident Eurasian passerine of Type – granivore, Family Emberizidae and Order Passeriformes. It is generally resident from W Europe to Central Asia, but also has a few additional wintering areas where limited winter movements take place. In addition the highest areas of the Caucasus mountain range become a summer breeding area which migrated away from in the winter.
