Snow-bunting – Plectrophenax nivalis – is a small migratory Holarctic passerine of Type – granivore, Family Calcariidae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder to the whole high Arctic, Holarctic region and winters in the Temperate latitudes of Eurasia and N America. The AWB Region lies outside of its normal range but it is recorded as Accidental in the UAE.
