Cape petrel – Daption capense – is a medium sized pelagic seabird of the Southern Oceans, it is of Type – seabird, Family Procellariidae and Order Procellariiformes. It breeds on islands around the Antarctic Shelf but outside of the breeding season it ranges further N. Its normal range lies outside of the AWB Region but it is recorded as Accidental to Oman waters.
