Nubian nightjar – Caprimulgus nubicus – is a small mostly resident Afro/Arabian nightjar of Type – crepuscular, Family Caprimulgidae and Order Caprimulgiformes. It is found in NE Africa and SW Arabia. In the AWB Region it is found as resident in SW KSA, coastal Yemen, Somalia, central Sudan and Socotra. Some birds winter along the SW Coast of the Red Sea in Djibouti and Eritrea.
