Cinereous bunting – Emberiza cineracea – is a small Asian passerine of limited extent being almost entirely within the AWB Region. It has a dispersed patchwork of small isolated summer breeding areas along W, S and SE boundaries of Turkey with N Syria and N Iraq, plus a small area on the NE Iraq/Iran border. It winters on the coastal areas of the S Red Sea.
