The Great bustard – Otis tarda is a very large ground bird of Type – landfowl, Family Otididae and Order Otidiformes. It is a resident bird of Europe and migratory in Central Asia. In the AWB Region it has a complex distribution, in Turkey in different areas it is a summer breeder, a winter visitor and a resident. In Iraq and Iran it is a winter visitor and it is resident in NW Iran and a small enclave in NW Morocco.
