Red avadavat – Amandava amandava – is a small resident Asian Estrildid-finch of Type – granivore, Family Estrildidae and Order Passeriformes. It is found in Asia from the Indian sub-continent to Japan. The AWB Region lies outside of its normal range but it has been introduced to Egypt and KSA.
