The Red-footed falcon – Falco vespertinus is a small/mid sized falcon of Type diurnal-raptor, Family Falconidae and Order Falconiformes. It is strongly migratory, being a summer breeder from E Europe to E Central Siberia, and migrates to winter in southern Africa. The AWB Region is just outside of its closest breeding range in the N Caucasus, so it is only present during the broad-front passage across many of the AWB countries.
