The Ring-necked pheasant – Phasianus colchicus or Common Pheasant is a large sized ground bird of Type – landfowl, Family Phasianidae and Order Galliformes. Originally from Asia, the Ring-necked pheasant has now been introduced by man as part of commercial gamebird hunting businesses, to many parts of the world. In the AWB Region it is resident in the Black Sea coastal areas of Turkey, the South Caucasus, the Caspian coastal region of Iran and to several small areas in Morocco.
