Rufous-crowned roller – Coracias naevius – or Purple roller – is a medium sized resident African species of Type – sallyer, Family Coraciidae and Order Coraciiformes. It is widespread over s s Africa except for the most dense forests or the most arid areas. In the AWB Region it is found across the Sahel Belt from Mauritania to Eritrea plus Somalia.
