Yellow-throated sparrow – Gymnoris xanthocollis – is a small migratory/resident Asian sparrow of Type – granivore, Family Passeridae and Order Passeriformes. It is a summer breeder to SW Asia and Arabia and is resident in the Indian sub-continent. In the AWB Region it is a summer breeder to SE Turkey, E Iraq, central and S Iran, N UAE, NE Oman and a small area in W KSA. It is resident in a small part of E Iran.
